About Mark D. Hudak

Mark graduated from Denison University in 1975. He received his law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1981, where he was on the Law Review and the Order of the Coif.

Following graduation, Mark began his law practice in San Francisco. In 1983, he joined the CarrMcClellan law firm in Burlingame, where he practiced for most of the following 30 years and chaired the Litigation Group. He opened the Law Offices of Mark D. Hudak in 2016. He remains of counsel to Carr McClellan, consulting on complex litigation matters.

Mark is an active participant in community projects, helping the mid-Peninsula be a better place to live. He was elected to two terms as a Trustee for the San Mateo-Foster City Elementary School District. He has a leadership role on several successful parcel tax and bond measure campaigns for the schools. Most recently, he served on the Next Steps Committee that studied the overcrowding issues facing the San Mateo Foster City School District and recommended solutions that resulted in the passage of a §148 million bond measure in 2015.

Mark is a member of the Citizens Advisory Committee that is working on the update of Burlingame’s General Plan and was part of the Citizens Committee that drafted Burlingame’s current Downtown Specific Plan. He is the past President of the Burlingame Chamber of Commerce. He is an annual presenter to the Leadership Program of San Mateo-Burlingame-Foster City-Hillsborough.
